I'm Juul Lit, an illustrator and graphic designer in Rotterdam. My work has clean lines, bright colours, and punchy hand-drawn type. I use whatever gets the job done: digital, analogue, usually both.
Most of what I make takes a hard look at how society is put together, but I try to keep it playful. If it makes you think about your own shit and maybe feel a little less separate from people different than you, good.
In my personal work I like to reminisce: driving for days in a melting car during summer, to countless adventures with friends, and to rooms you forgot you missed. I like to draw these little memories and moments, the kind that punch you with nostalgia and make you wish you were somewhere else. Small reminders that not everything's broken. The world doesn't need to be analysed constantly.
I like setting up projects that let me mess around with different formats. A while back I developed 'Dat Bepaal Ik Zelf Wel' with photographer Floor Besuijen. That's the kind of thing I mean.
